Okkay. I am a junior now and have a "as i think" a little kid hair cut. I would like it but before I go back to school on Aug. 22nd. My mother should be taking me soon. I want something that is just above my shoulders or right at them. My hair grows really fast so I want something that isn't going to look stupid when it grows out. I would like a emo/scene hair cut with bangs. I don't really find the side bangs attractive, but I am willing to work with them. Just help me out. And I am also planning on my hair to stay it's natural dark brown. I might be dying the bangs blonde so work with that. Thanks.

I don't think you should try styling a 2year old's hair, if she's got fine hair she's got fine hair and you should leave it, because she not going to worry about her own hair until she becoming a teenager.

Keep kids looking natural for as long as possible, I don't think layers are for two year old's, just keep it all the same length and manageable because little girlie's don't like their hair being messy with at the best of times, you need her hair to look kept.

Just get the ends trimmed to encourage growth or cut it shorter but straight, to keep her hair lovely, and also so she gets used to the hairdressers, and doesn't get put of by all the faffing, for the next time.

I also have a 2 yr old and her hair is fine and a little wavy. I did a face framing layer with side-parted bang and long layer in the back. Since her hair is wavy, it curls in naturally. This creates volume. It should work for yours since you said she has a lot of hair. Remember too much layering will reduce fullness. Hope this helps!

Look, hair has to be cut when wet. The reason being they get a better judgment and your hair isnt flying off. If you ask them to cut your hair while its dry, then you might end up looking weird, as their wont be any symmetry left in ur hair after that. You have to wet it. Tell your hairdresser, dont change the lenght of the hair and just trim it. They will surely not chop off too much.

I have curly hair and it is pretty much dry when I get it cut. My hairdresser likes to cut it dry so their are no "surprises" when it dries and curls back up.

Yes they can, it all depends on the experience of the hairdresser. Cutting the hair while dry is mainly used for point cutting, and thinning out.

But you shouldn't straighten your hair before you cut it, especially if you wear it curly, because it will come out uneven. Curly hair shouldnt be cut like straight hair,its a totaly differant technique.

I suggest you go to a city salon something more upper class, and ask for a senior stylist , you will see the differance.

Try on a wig. Go to the place that normally cuts your hair and ask the girl if you can try on a hair piece and/or wig in the style that you want. If you don't like it then don't do it. Pay attention to your face shape. The new haircuts that I have noticed lately, with a bob ending at the chin, make a lot of people look like they have moon faces...not attractive.

Look through magazines of hair styles to get an idea of what you might like, and then ask your stylist if they will work with your hair texture and thickness. Don't go too short, you can always work your way up to a shorter length over time, but you can't add back hair if you get a shorter haircut that looks like a disaster.

Try and google the websites where you can upload your picture and try different cuts. My computer hates me right now, I wouldn't go so short... Maybe sholder length with long layers in the back. I would also frame the front towards your face with the layers starting at your jaw line going down.

If you want it to be a straight even cut on the bottom, it would be smarter to have someone do it for you. But if you dont mind a little bit of varying lengths (within about 1in of eachother) producing a soft effect, I would say go for it. Just remember... don't cut straight across. Section off pieces and pull the ends together with your fingers ( this will make it so you don't cut off too much) and cut up (with the sissors parallel with the hair). Do lots of little cuts and this will trim up your hair and leave a cute edge. This is what most hair dressers do when you get your hair trimmed.

If you don't have much money you should try and go to a local school where they learn how to do hair. That would be the cheapest way to get your hair done and you don't have to worry about them really messing it up since it a trip. hmmmm....maybe cut you hair shorter and get layers then diffently re-cut your bangs (bangs are in right now) then maybe add a few light brown highlights ( make them thin strips looks more natural)

u are real prettyy and i want my hair to look like urs. im going into the 8th grade this year, and i hope this style works out for ya jsut great. cut maybe about 4-5inches off and get bangs to cover ur wide and high forehead, that'll look great on ya. and if u want to spice it up i suggest maybe that is MAYBE getting some highlights, i dont really think u need them though. and u might definatly want to get maybe 2-3 layers, to make it look even better

I hate to say it but, I'd kill for hair like yours.....sigh......anyway.....since your hair looks so pretty the way it is (texture and color) I also understand you might want a change so, why don't you try a bob hair cut, or maybe a cut that ends right at the shoulders, and maybe some side bangs to add some definition to the style. I really don't think you need to color your hair because is very shiny, and your natural color looks great on you.

okay, i have wavy hair but it gets really frizzy and poofs up and just looks really bad unless i straighten it or whatever but then still my hair just looks blah. no matter what haircut i get it happens. it sucks. i have the potential for cute hair but how can i get it? does anyone know what kind of haircut would suit thick, wavy but frizzy hair. or any tricks?

There are a lot of products out there to help you manage and control it. If it is thick and frizzy, try some salon products. A hairdresser should be able to help guide you. I would shop around for a good stylist to give you a cut that works with your hair, and the product to keep and maintain a style.

My sister is a beautician, she always colors my hair first, then cuts it.... But, if you have really long hair and are getting it cut short, definitely have them cut it first so you don't get socked an arm and a leg for color on hair you're getting cut off anyway.

Since you are going to different places, it probably won't matter. Dying your hair first might be better because they need to wash your hair, so then when you get your hair cut, you won't have to get it washed again (that is really bad to wash your hair twice in one day, bad for natural oils in your hair)

If you're looking at just getting a trim, i suggest colouring your hair first. Once you have coloured you hair, the dye can sometimes bring out your split ends even more....so having a cut afterwards can help get rid of them.

But if you're looking at getting short hair from really long hair, probably a cut first and then get your hair coloured.

I always have my hair colored first. Just because some colors look better on me with certain hair styles. I like to see the color on my hair before I decide what style I will go with.

That's just me though... but I will say that I've been doing it this way for many years and it hasn't failed me yet.

Is it just a Brad thing or what? From a barbers' stand point I would say go ahead and do the short crew cut. (We love them kind.) But as far as what girls would say, then probably they would like you to have more hair than the crew cut. But to me if I was a guy I would love nothing more than to be able to run a #3 clipper blade all over my head like the one you are thinking about getting. Practically no maintenance than getting it cut every couple of weeks! Good Luck on what you choose, experiment... it's only hair!

EDIT: Okay, I CAN'T STAND Brad Pitt, I think he's fugly, so I ignored the face... To be honest, the only difference I could see between the two hairstyles in the pictures was the color and that the first one was only millimeters shorter than the second. To be honest (and this is coming from a forty-something female), his hair looks prickly and unpleasant. In my humble opinion, the natural look is best. Nothing turns me on more than a guy who looks like he doesn't spend hours agonizing over his hair, or any other part of his appearance, and yet still looks hot. Go for a bit of a longer look, with just a little bit of shaping gel while your hair is still damp. Find something that smells really good, too -- like L'Oreal. Girls will totally dig that.
