Whats the best type of hair cut for thin hair?

i been having the same hair cut for a very long time. It usually past my shoulder. Sometimes its even reaches up to my mid torso. The thing is that my hair is very thin. I have little of it. It really doesnt look to bad but i often get my flat head days. I want a new change. Alll the hair dressers that i go to say that i my face would usually suit long hair. I want to do something different. I am sick of my annoying side fringe and ratty thin hair, Is there anything that i can do? i am not thinking of hair extendsions, because i am saving it till next year when my prom comes around. For the time being, i want to do something exciting. Is there anything i can do with my hair at all? Please help

I have the same problem. Super straight and thin.. Go a little shorter. like just shoulder length and lots of layers. Layers do wonders. Plus if you blow dry it upside-down the layers pop out. Good luck!

if i were you every now and then spray hairspray on your hair and from about your ear-level gently push upwards with your fingers

this may help to give it a bit of body on your "flat hair days"

what you also could do is have curls in it or make it wavey,

if you are sick of your annoying side fringe then i would clip it over the top of your head and leave the rest of your hair down

this usually makes quite a nice affect

but if i want to have a different style have a high pony like i do but keep the fringe down

Find a style you like that is shorter and go for it. You can try using a shampoo and conditioner that adds volume (herbal Essence is one) , it works well for my sister. And you could consider adding curls. I saw that work on many girls.

it sounds like you've had long hair for a bit too long. be rebellious and get it cut short to just above your shoulders. you'd be amazed by how much you can do with short hair. you can straighten it into a stylish bob, or curl it for some volume. short hair looks nice up in a pony tail and would look great with a thick fringe and bangs. i'd go for it! good luck!!
