I want to cut my own hair...?

The past few salon visits have turned into disasters! I mainly want to cut my bangs. I'd like to layer them and keep them right above my eyebrows. If you can tell me how to layer it all, that would be a plus. I'm sick of paying $50 only to go home and cry about the mess made of my hair. It's waist length and the bangs are long enough to side sweep. I want them shorter. Also, my last hair style was layered but it's grown out.

i think u should just cut it straight then buy a comb that has a blade in it (it is for layering). Then just comb it. I DID IT MYSELF.. evryone say they like my hair

umm.. i cant rly give too much advice about cuttin ur own hair, but for ur bangs start cuttin them little by little.. dont just chop em off..

I do not think cutting your own hair is very good your bangs maybe but little bits not to were a pint if you mess um up you cant fix um so i wouldgo to a salon and get them done dont ruin your hair

I hated my bangs before, they were all straight and just under my eyebrows, my hair stylist cutted them with thinning scissors, and it's all layered and doesn't look nerdy anymoe. XD

well if you are sure about cuttin your own hair go for it. ya really dont need to pay 50 dollars at a salon tho. go to great clips. they have professionals to cut your hair for like 10 dollars. I think I would rather have someone at great clips cut my hair. they have a comsmatology licence. and I'm guessing you dont. it doesnt have to be all or nothin... there is nothing wrong with getting your hair cut at a discount salon.
