I Need My Hair Cut, What Should I Get.?

Okkay. I am a junior now and have a "as i think" a little kid hair cut. I would like it but before I go back to school on Aug. 22nd. My mother should be taking me soon. I want something that is just above my shoulders or right at them. My hair grows really fast so I want something that isn't going to look stupid when it grows out. I would like a emo/scene hair cut with bangs. I don't really find the side bangs attractive, but I am willing to work with them. Just help me out. And I am also planning on my hair to stay it's natural dark brown. I might be dying the bangs blonde so work with that. Thanks.

I don't think you should try styling a 2year old's hair, if she's got fine hair she's got fine hair and you should leave it, because she not going to worry about her own hair until she becoming a teenager.

Keep kids looking natural for as long as possible, I don't think layers are for two year old's, just keep it all the same length and manageable because little girlie's don't like their hair being messy with at the best of times, you need her hair to look kept.

Just get the ends trimmed to encourage growth or cut it shorter but straight, to keep her hair lovely, and also so she gets used to the hairdressers, and doesn't get put of by all the faffing, for the next time.

I also have a 2 yr old and her hair is fine and a little wavy. I did a face framing layer with side-parted bang and long layer in the back. Since her hair is wavy, it curls in naturally. This creates volume. It should work for yours since you said she has a lot of hair. Remember too much layering will reduce fullness. Hope this helps!

Look, hair has to be cut when wet. The reason being they get a better judgment and your hair isnt flying off. If you ask them to cut your hair while its dry, then you might end up looking weird, as their wont be any symmetry left in ur hair after that. You have to wet it. Tell your hairdresser, dont change the lenght of the hair and just trim it. They will surely not chop off too much.

I have curly hair and it is pretty much dry when I get it cut. My hairdresser likes to cut it dry so their are no "surprises" when it dries and curls back up.

Yes they can, it all depends on the experience of the hairdresser. Cutting the hair while dry is mainly used for point cutting, and thinning out.

But you shouldn't straighten your hair before you cut it, especially if you wear it curly, because it will come out uneven. Curly hair shouldnt be cut like straight hair,its a totaly differant technique.

I suggest you go to a city salon something more upper class, and ask for a senior stylist , you will see the differance.

do not do it yourself! Go to a salon and get it done... let the stylist know that you get your hair relaxed and the last time you had it done... that way they can color your hair without damaging it!

you can always curl the hair like big curls at the tips. or maybe color your hair with highlights. place clips or anything to accentuate the long hair.

Doing this you get different styles and not necessarily cut your hair.

Long hais is more advantageous than short hair. Short hair makes you a bit mature looking and serious. Long hair makes you look younger.

Try on a wig. Go to the place that normally cuts your hair and ask the girl if you can try on a hair piece and/or wig in the style that you want. If you don't like it then don't do it. Once you cut your hair it will be a while before it grows back. That would be the easiest thing to do. It should not cost you anything.

Pay attention to your face shape. The new haircuts that I have noticed lately, with a bob ending at the chin, make a lot of people look like they have moon faces...not attractive.

Look through magazines of hair styles to get an idea of what you might like, and then ask your stylist if they will work with your hair texture and thickness. Don't go too short, you can always work your way up to a shorter length over time, but you can't add back hair if you get a shorter haircut that looks like a disaster.

aww that is really sweet of you. My friend donates to locks of love. But here's the catch. They put your hair into a ponytail and cut it. that's it. They won't style it or give you a haircut. At least not anytime she's done it.

You can do a bob. I don't think you have the right face shape for a pixie cut or a blunt cut. You might also have to experiment with combo cuts that mix elements of different styles.

when i got my hair cut shrt i donated to locks of love with your color hair you should get a straigtening perm and an in curveand a side sweep that would look cool if you want a more sophisticatd look try the curler

Try and google the websites where you can upload your picture and try different cuts. My computer hates me right now, I wouldn't go so short... Maybe sholder length with long layers in the back. I would also frame the front towards your face with the layers starting at your jaw line going down.

If you want it to be a straight even cut on the bottom, it would be smarter to have someone do it for you. But if you dont mind a little bit of varying lengths (within about 1in of eachother) producing a soft effect, I would say go for it. Just remember... don't cut straight across. Section off pieces and pull the ends together with your fingers ( this will make it so you don't cut off too much) and cut up (with the sissors parallel with the hair). Do lots of little cuts and this will trim up your hair and leave a cute edge. This is what most hair dressers do when you get your hair trimmed.

If you don't have much money you should try and go to a local school where they learn how to do hair. That would be the cheapest way to get your hair done and you don't have to worry about them really messing it up since it a trip. hmmmm....maybe cut you hair shorter and get layers then diffently re-cut your bangs (bangs are in right now) then maybe add a few light brown highlights ( make them thin strips looks more natural)

u are real prettyy and i want my hair to look like urs. im going into the 8th grade this year, and i hope this style works out for ya jsut great. cut maybe about 4-5inches off and get bangs to cover ur wide and high forehead, that'll look great on ya. and if u want to spice it up i suggest maybe that is MAYBE getting some highlights, i dont really think u need them though. and u might definatly want to get maybe 2-3 layers, to make it look even better

I hate to say it but, I'd kill for hair like yours.....sigh......anyway.....since your hair looks so pretty the way it is (texture and color) I also understand you might want a change so, why don't you try a bob hair cut, or maybe a cut that ends right at the shoulders, and maybe some side bangs to add some definition to the style. I really don't think you need to color your hair because is very shiny, and your natural color looks great on you.

Is it just a Brad thing or what? From a barbers' stand point I would say go ahead and do the short crew cut. (We love them kind.) But as far as what girls would say, then probably they would like you to have more hair than the crew cut. But to me if I was a guy I would love nothing more than to be able to run a #3 clipper blade all over my head like the one you are thinking about getting. Practically no maintenance than getting it cut every couple of weeks! Good Luck on what you choose, experiment... it's only hair!

I got a puppy cut for mine. the groomers clipper was set to #4 and it turned out really good. short but not shaved and really cute. go to your groomers and ask their oppinion. My groomer showed me the lengths of the clipper #'s. that how i came upon the #4 cut for mine.

Layers added to the hair add fullness... One length styles weigh the hair down because of gravity.

I would suggest cutting your hair to about the shoulder blades, adding an angle around the face starting right below the chin and also have your layers starting about the same length.

This will create more movement and body.

I have a thick, generous mane and layers are the only way to keep it in order, so i guess if you have fine hair you should do the contrary, a blunt cut, maybe with one or two layers close to the neck (under your hair) for volume. I have hair like your's...stick straight and very fine. I got it cut short...like Winona Ryder had hers when it was really short. the trick is leaving the fringes around the face and neck, and making it VERY texturized so it doesn't look boyish or (forgive the term) like a dyke. I have been wanting a hair cut for a while now, but because Im so indecisive i can't decide. I love the scene look but with my hair it really doesn't work. Any advice will help, oh and pictures would be cool to.

So what you need to do id don't die it because us red heads hair is priceless but cut it in layers and angle it down to your face and have the back like a little past your shoulders and I have gotten so many compliments off of my hair and I bet you would look good in it too.!

a really strong a-line. short , like at the base of the neck in the back and long in the front, like to the shoulders or longer. its really fun, i love a-line. no bangs required! reds are also fun, especially when they hit the sun just right.

As you see from my picture I have a rounded face. I have died my hair red and streaked it with blue blonde and red and had it cut in layers and up to my shoulders. I want a new look for the new year. My hair length is about 5-6 inches below my shoulders. Any ideas on coloring and styles? My hair is also a dark dark brown, almost to the point where it looks black.

it seems like your down for any color. i think you should go with an almost black color ,bleach out the ends and add a violet semi-permanent to the ends . ive done it on a girl and its looks awsome

okay so tomorrow im getting my hair cut and colored. and i have about a little longer than shoulder length hair and all i want is for the layers to be more choppy and i want the color to be a whole buncha blonde highlights on top and a brown on the bottom.

When i had a really bad haircut, I called back to the place i got it at, it was in a mall, and talked directly to the manager , told her who cut my hair and how much, she offered to give me my money back but i wanted it fixed, so instead i told her to take the tip from the girl that messed my hair up and keep it for herself.

I have a very round face and what my stylist did was cut my hair shoulder length, then layer and texturize. It gives it a bit of a punk look (but I work in an office, so not that much!) I think it frames my face well. Have you ever considered highlights to give your hair a bit of a flair?

You could get it cut about half the way up your neck, and curl it and get some curling jell. Or maybe you could get it cut like that and do side swept bangs with it. Hope this help. :)

Growing out your bangs and adding them to the hair that is angled around your face will also help to create a longer looking face structure.

Asian hair cut HELP for 7 year old daughter?

My 7 Year old daughter (almost 8) has been growing her hair for more than a year so she can donate it to Locks of Love and a child who needs a wig due to hair loss (chemo and other ilnesses) can have one made from her hair.

My daughter is 1/2 Fillipino and has typical Asian hair... pin straight, no curl but beautiful color.

She's growing out her bangs and is ready "for something new" as she puts it. She's NOT a girly girl, she plays softball is a rock climber and swimmer.

Any ideas on how to cut it beyond the usual little Asian girl bob? Any links would be helpful for pics.

one thing that might look good is if you curl it with a curling iron, spritz some hairspray (very little) in your hair, then brush it out. this will create volume and body, also giving it a very sexy curvy shape. afterwards, just finger style and you will look great!

I need help to find a hair salon to donate about 2 feet of my hair for the kid's with cancer. Not sure of any places around here. I'm new in town! Somewhere they don't charge the full amount for the cuts and style. At least the hair cut. Every three years I donate 2 1/2 feet to 3 feet of hair for the children. It's about that time! It makes me feel good to see a smile on children's faces when I get to share my beauty with them. It feels great to know I can put a smile on their faces! Please help me on this one!

I recommend calling the salons in your area and asking them since Locks of Love stopped listing them. A lot of salons will offer free or half price cuts if you donate.

The locks of love website can offer you more information, plus they have pics of the happy children and tell you how the hair prosthetics are made.

Locks of Love used to list participating salons on its website, but unfortunately, they've stopped doing that. Participating salons sometimes have a decal. The best thing to do would be to call the salons in your area and ask.
