This is the same stylist that convinced me to get my hair cut to my shoulders. I loved that cut and had many compliments. I went for a trim %26amp; she said she would cut an inch. She hacked off 3 inches and now my hair just covers my ears. I have never been so unhappy with a haircut. I even went back to have her fix it. So now I'm stuck with short hair and don't know what to do. Its not like my hair can be put back. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do? I'm still mad %26amp; its been 2 weeks. Sorry so long....
I recently went to the hair stylist that has cut my hair for the last year. She cut my hair short %26amp; I hate it
like the answer below. . .you could sue her but really, would that make your hair grow any faster?
my best advice is this, you complain to her and tell her that you specified that you only wanted 1 inch but she took it upon herself to do more than a simple trim. . .
tell her that you should be allowed to have hair extensions and maintenance for FREE in her salon until your hair grows to it's manageable length!

I think you got to comfortable with your stylist in the beginning. No matter how well she does your hair, you should always be detailed about what you want everytime you go. When you give a stylist leeway, she will do what she thinks will be cute on you. I dont think she is a bad stylist, she just got comfortable since the last haircut was a hit.
For now, all you can do is play with your hair and add accesories to it to play it up more. Since you have ear length hair, try parting your hair or pulling back your bangs with a small clip. Try waving your hair and see what happens. Try not to stare at your hair every minute, it will seem like its growing out real slow. Just take some time and play around with your hair and see what you can create.
The next time you go back to her, tell her that your growing out your hair and show her how much hair you want trimmed. Use your hands because words arent good enough sometimes. I have a friend who marks the back of an old shirt to show her stylist where to stop when trimming her ends. Youll be fine, Im sure when school comes around, your hair should be somewhat longer. Cheerup and try not to think about it as much.
